Realme is a popular budget-friendly mobile phone brand and has attracted a following in the Philippines. Well, it is a multinational Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer that was founded by the former VP of another phone brand (Oppo, a subsidiary of BBK Electronics).

Madhav Sheth has founded the company in 2018. Their first phone was released May that year, and it was called Realme 1. Quickly, it garnered a huge following in India and has quickly surpassed Oppo in India.

In the third quarter of 2021, it became the fastest growing 5G smartphone brand. In 2024, the company claims to be in 27 markets worldwide – including Asia, Europe, Russia, Australia, and Egypt.
